Innovative new products are always a key component of a company growth. The first R&D centre was set up in early 1976 to develop our own paints and coatings. Nowadays, China Paint has constantly invest large amount of capital to R&D department, for example, buying advanced instruments and equipments, recruiting and training technical talents, entering licence agreements of technical cooperation with world famous coating enterprises and also the product development agreements with world famous raw material suppliers.

A modern R&D centre is now located in our Shenzhen plant. A highly qualified team of chemists, engineers and technicians convert new ideas into innovative products. Apart from the technical cooperation with the overseas coating enterprises, China Paint also works with a number of famous national universities and institutes on new coating techniques, like the formaldehyde removal, anti-bacterial and anion emission techniques in 2007.

The wide global network and close relationship with the international coating enterprises, raw material suppliers, certification organizations, worldwide customers, universities and institutes etc. all allows us to have the most updated and valuable market information, and hence, to develop outstanding market-led products to our customers.

Quality Assurance

 All the existing manufacturing plants are well-equipped with the advanced production and testing facilities, in additional to the well-trained professional chemists and technicians, which enable us to improve the production effectiveness and efficiency. Stringent quality control testing and quality assurance are carried out by the quality control department throughout the whole production processes, from raw materials replenishing to product warehousing, so as to ensure the quality stability of the products.

Our Shenzhen plant was accredited the ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard certification in early 1996. Every process, including product design, product development, production, sales and after-sales service, is strictly conformed to the international standard. After that, our testing centre in Shenzhen plant was accredited the ISO 17025: 2005 Laboratory Accreditation Certificate in 2006, which certified our testing ability to be in accordance to the international standard. Besides, FLOWER won the “Hong Kong Top Brand” since 2001. These are all the evidence of our commitment on the best quality and total customers satisfaction.

Customer & Supplier Partnership

Being a responsible and foreseeing manufacturer, we continuously work closely with existing customers, and also build up relationship with new customers. From our establishment until now, we have successfully built an extensive sales network throughout Hong Kong and China and sales branches / customer service centres in the main China provinces, etc. By working closely with the technology service centre in Shenzhen plant, all our sales branches and customer service centres are capable to provide 24-hour professional consultation service and also on-site consultation to our customers.

Besides the standard products, we also devoted ourselves to develop the fittest tailor-made products with outstanding features and economical price to fulfill the customers’ needs and requirements.

Apart from the customer relationship, we also take account of the supplier relationship. Through the establishment of close, long-term and cooperative relationship with the local and overseas suppliers, we can get the best quality raw materials at reasonable price, the most updated market information and technology. These all enable us to develop our own prominent market-led products in high and consistent quality.

Small effort of many will always be greater than the larger effort of one. So, professional, well-trained and responsible employees are always the key to make us grow stronger and gain success. To achieve this, we are keeping up to communicate, inspire and promote courage to every employee and to make up the most of their time and talent effectively. We also encourage employees to get on-the-job training. Regular training is being conducted for the staffs at all levels. Employees can acquire competent knowledge and skills through the training, so as to enhance their working effectiveness and efficiency.

The management often conducts regular reviews and evaluations on the business operations from R&D, production, quality control, marketing strategy and customer services etc. to maintain the highest standards of our products and service.

And, our Shenzhen plant was accredited the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System-Specification in 2008, showing our continuous efforts in providing better and safer working environment to our staffs.

Environmental Concerns & Social Resonsibility

To provide a better environment to our future generations and coexist in harmony with society, we actively promote and encourage the respect of good environmental practices. Therefore, we was accredited the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certification in the early 2004. For example, a wastewater treatment station and solvent purifying facilities were built in our Shenzhen plant to reuse the treated water and solvents, thus, keeping their usage to the bare minimum. And, the efficiency and effectiveness of the power consumption is under continuous and strict monitoring.

Apart from the environmental practice, we are proceeding with efforts to develop more green products, like the emulsion paints with low VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), air-purifying and anti-formaldehyde properties, heat reflection coatings, water-based wood coatings, metal coatings and road-marking paints etc. And, we cooperate with a number of environmental organizations in promoting the adoption of the green products and the importance of the environmental protection.

In the social aspect, we are keeping to sponsor various charity organizations and schools, like wall painting activities, renovation projects, sports and teenage competition etc.

In the near future, we will continue to engage in business, environmental and charity activities aimed at the realization of a sustainable and harmonic society.
